Congratulations to our Cornish Bowl team who won against St Mellion and are now through to the Semi-Finals.

Ladies Californian Scramble - Tuesday, 12 January 2016 

Not even very strong winds could keep the Ladies of West Cornwall off the course on Tuesday, 12 January to play their Californian Scramble, which was reduced to a nine hole competition.

Winners on the day were Chris Matthews, Debbie Sedgeman, and Marg Parnell with a nett 28.67 followed, in second place with a nett 29.5, by Helen Jones, Pam Harvey and Viv Rowe. Third place went to Lady Captain Edwina Thomas, Helen Dugdale and Jane Attwood with nett 31.

Junior Winter League - Saturday, 16 January 

After a dismal run of weekend weather during the Autumn and early Winter months, the clouds finally lifted on Saturday, but then the frost arrived! 

However, not to be put off, 24 young golfers headed out to the 10th tee to play a shortened 9 hole Winter League fixture on Saturday morning. With the Girls away on a County Elite squad training day, it was up to the Boys to flex their muscles.

Prizes on the day were kindly sponsored by D.J. Richards and the competition was fierce. 

In third place on countback with 21 points were the pairing of Dan Richards and Sam Easterbrook. In second place were Bradley Barnes and Rhys Evans with a fantastic 23 points who narrowly lost out, again on countback, to younger brothers Tristan Barnes and Bryn Evans.

The postponed Autumn Winter League match is being re-arranged to take place on the 30th January and the fixture pencilled in for the 13th February is being moved to the 27th February to adjust for another clash with recently announced County Girls Elite training days.


County accolade

Two of our young stars, Finn Rule and Bradley Barnes (both playing off 4) have been selected to take part in the County Mens' Development Squad training sessions this year, following very strong performances at County Junior level in 2015. Congratulations to both!
