County Boys V County Ladies - Saturday 26th at Launceston Golf Club
Following on from their first success of the year, the County Boys Team took on the Cornwall Ladies Team in what is meant to be a friendly match, but due to both teams wanting to say they are the best in Cornwall, it normally ends up in a tough all out battle. There were several new faces in the boys team, hoping to impress the management, and by doing so putting themselves into contention for the 6-Counties Championships later in the year.

James Crocker (Killiow)
James Barton (Launceston)
The other 7 players in the Boys team were a mixture of the Successful 4-Counties Squad, and previously capped players. The Ladies Team had a mixture of youth and experience, with 4 of their team coming from the crop of talented girls currently involved within the County Development Program directed and coached by West Cornwall Golf Club's Matt Tucknott PGA.
Launceston Golf Club looked in fantastic condition as the groups teed off from the 1st hole just before lunchtime. Unfortunately the heavens opened, and within a couple hours of heavy rain, the golf course became waterlogged and the match had to be abandoned. Both sides are keen to rearrange the match later in the year and look forward to their next encounter.
