Unfortunately this week's email has to start with some negative news.

The clubs greenkeepers, committee and my pro shop team have been shocked by the amount of pitch marks that remain unrepaired on our golf course at the moment, and quite frankly this is not acceptable. 

This together with bunkers being left un-raked is very disappointing to see, and is particularly upsetting for Keith and his team who give a tremendous amount of effort in presenting our course so excellently.

Please remember that you should always carry a pitch mark repairer when out playing golf. Please do not be offended if you are asked to show that you are carrying a pitch mark repairer whilst playing. Club Captain Paul Horsell has asked all the Board members, together with the Pro shop and Greenstaff to randomly ask players on the course to show that they are carrying a pitch mark repairer.

Please remember 

- Always carry and repair your pitchmarks and please do not be offended if asked to show that you have one. 
- Always rake bunkers 
- Always report in to the Pro Shop before playing. 
- Always clearly display your membership tag on your golf bag. 
- Always enjoy your golf

Lelant Village Fayre - Saturday, 28 May 
From 11.00am 

Hosted by Frank at The Watermill along with volunteer help from across the area. Fun and games for all the family to include horse rides. treasure hunts, duck races, golf game & lots of stalls including cakes. 

Volunteers are always welcome to help on the day. Bake a cake for the cake stall and/or donate unwanted garden tools/furniture/plants or any interesting saleable item. 

Drop off at the Watermill in the days up to the Fayre or contact The Watermill - Cakes on the day please. 

This is sure to be the place to be over the May bank holiday. 

The Beer Festival follows at The Watermill on the weekend of the 17th June
