2 hole in 1's this week
Congratulations to Pat Avern and Margaret Eddy who have both scored an ace this week at West Cornwall.
Pat scored hers on Tuesday, 7 June in the Stableford competition held alongside the 30 Plus Cup. Holing out with a driver on the 138 yard 7th hole.
Margaret Eddy had hers on the 164 yard 1st hole in the Captains Charity day, holing out with a 3 wood.
Thanks to Margaret who very kindly has donated her winnings to the Captains Charity the Alzheimer's Association.

Captain's Charity Day (Incorporating Jack Stephens Charity Cup)
Raising funds for the Alzheimer's Association,
Paul Horsell's charity day saw 116 players take to the links for an individual stableford competition. With a welcome drink courtesy of St Austell Brewery for each competitor on the first tee, a putting competition and two nearest the pin competitions and a long drive competition, all promised to be a good day.
Early on expectations rose when
Margaret Eddy in the 12th group out scored a hole-in-one on the first hole, somewhat ruining the nearest the pin competition on that hole... However Margaret donated her prize for the hole-in-one,
£75, to the Captain's Charity.
It looked like scoring might be good when in the first group out,
Bob Andrew scored 42 points, but
Jordan Musitano managed 43 points to take the lead. The scoring then settled down for a while although
Duncan MacLennan scored 41 points,
Edwina Thomas 40 and
Tom Ruhrmund 39.
Of the later starters, none could match the early scores with
Nigel Lawson-Lee managing 39 with
Kevin Veal, Sid Cryer and Captain,
Paul Horsell all on 38. The day raised in excess of £1,000, and with other efforts remaining over the course of Paul's Captaincy, it is hoped that a substantial amount can be presented to the Alzheimer's Association.
