Ladies Gammon Team - Sunday, 17 July
West Cornwall Gammon Team just missed out to qualify for the semi-finals of the scratch County Cup (no handicap allowance) on the very last putt on the 19th green at a "play off" at St.Enodoc Golf Club. West Cornwall were always up against it playing Launceston, who had 5 single handicap players against West Cornwall only having 3. But West Cornwall proved to be a force to be recognised and took Launceston to the wire.
The match was 3 games each, and the deciding game had to go to a sudden death play off to decide. Launceston eventually winning 4 games to 3.

Coast to Coast
The hugely popular competition saw 60 teams competing over 2 days at West Cornwall and Mullion. Both courses were in excellent condition and the catering at both venues, as always was superb.
Day 1 saw last year's winners and home team of Jon Coleman, Joel Cameron and Andrew Richards set a fantastic score of 86 points. 4 points back on 82 was another home team, Ian Hodge, Mark Hughes and Matt Richards, while Mullion players, Mark Twynham, James Hale and Gordon Tamblyn scored 80 to finish 3rd with their home course to come on day 2.
Indeed, it was the Mullion players who had an early start and managed 82 points. Hodge, Hughes and Richards could only muster 71 and when Coleman, Cameron and Richards came in with 76 it was Twynham, Hale and Tamblyn who took the honours on count back.
