Bradley Barnes Junior Captains Day - Thursday, 25 August

A great day was had by all on Bradley Barnes's Captains Day last Thursday. 32 competitors competed over 9 holes in a Texas Scramble competition which featured a specially invited guest in each team which included Club Captain Paul Horsell, Club President Ken Evans, Lady Captain Debbie Sedgeman and myself . 

The leading team had a fantastic score of nett 22.3 which featured in form Casey Olds who had just had her handicap cut 3 shots from 15 to 12. 

Bradley was an excellent host thanking all the competitors and junior helpers in his speech. Special thanks went to Junior Organiser Antony Haddy and to Past County President David Inch and Peggy Darlow who BBQ'd the delicious burgers and sausages after the round. 

Club Captain Paul Horsell thanked the junior section for a great day and congratulated the junior section on their continued success.

Winter League Reminder 

The first Winter League of the Season starts on the 17th September. The entry sheets are on the notice board, please enter your names if you want to play this year. Please encourage any new members that you may know to enter. The Winter League is a great way for them to meet new friends within the club.

Ladies Team Kit 

The new ladies team kit is now fully in stock and available so if you have yet to collect yours please do so next time you are at the club. 

There is a group photo featuring the entire Ladies section planned once everybody has got their new kit which hopefully we can get done while the sun is still shining.
