Good Friday at West Cornwall saw a large turnout of players for the Easter Mixed Greensomes.

The Ladies Centenary Cup
The Ladies of West Cornwall Golf Club played for the Centenary Cup on Tuesday, 7 April in superb weather conditions. This competition is always played during the Easter holidays so our Juniors can participate. It turned out to be a family affair as Casey Olds, one of our Junior Members, won with a superb nett 69, followed in second place by her grandmother Sue Olds on 71 nett. It was great to see all our junior girls came home with good scores. Well done, girls. Casey's handicap was also cut from 20 to 18.
In the nine hole stableford Helen Dugdale was in first place with 14 points.
The putting competition was won by Yolanda Drinkwater with an amazing 28 points with Casey Olds on 31 Putts. What a day for Casey!
Pictured is Casey Olds receiving the Centenary Cup from Lady Captain Edwina Thomas. Well done Casey we are very proud of you.

Ladies section
The Ladies of West Cornwall Golf Club played an Easter Flag Foursomes in the most horrendous windy conditions on Tuesday, 31 March, which resulted in the 18 hole event being reduced to 9 holes. Everyone survived! The lucky winners were Maggie Hosking and Yvonne Walker who made it on to the 9th green, whilst Lynne Bishop and Viv Rowe, in 2nd place, were just short of that green. In third place were Sue Barlow and Christine Marenah. There was an additional prize on the day for the pair with the best Easter Bonnet and that was won by Alison Gessey and Gill Cattran.
One of my ex-assistants Maria Tulley managed to chalk up her first victory as a professional all the way up at the Montrose Links in the Ladies Tarton Tour competition.

Well done Maria!
The new Ladies and Men's PING Collection ranges for the summer have arrived in store and they look fantastic. Why not take a look the next time you are down at the club?
