The General Package will Include: 

- 9 nights All Inclusive at Moon Palace Golf Resort & Spa with Unlimited Golf (Moon Palace & Riviera Cancun) from the 1st - 9th February 2016. These dates are still as yet flexible, as are the number of nights of the stay. 

- Flights from Gatwick airport 

- Unlimited golf at Moon Palace and Rivera Cancun golf clubs. 

- All food and drinks at the resorts are included (except at Rivera Cancun Golf Club) 

- All transport to and from courses and airport. 

54 hole tournament and practice rounds will amount to 6 scheduled rounds during the stay, but as golf is included there is nothing to stop you playing more.

The cost of this trip is approximately £2100 which offers exceptional value for money when you consider that you need not spend another penny during your stay if you don't want to.

At long last it looked as if it was going to be a beautiful sunny June day for the Ladies of West Cornwall to play their 30+ Cup (for handicaps of 30 to 36) and a qualifying stableford. 

Many sported their shorts only to find out that the north easterly wind was still blowing very strongly to make the conditions very difficult. Will someone please turn the fan off!

The winner of the 30+ Cup was Mary Jones with 33 points, followed in 2nd place on a count back by Helen Dugdale, on a countback from Vivienne Nash both of whom had 19 points.

The stableford competition was won by Lynne Bishop in the 1st division on 29 points and Ros Fox on 27 points in 2nd place on a countback from Gill Cattran and Yolanda Drinkwater. 

The second division prize went to Donna Gibson who had 28 points, with Mandy Stevens in 2nd place with 27 points, and Jane Attwood with 25 points. Welcome back and well done Jane! 

Last Friday the Ladies played the PING 4 ball better ball competition. The winners were Gill Cattran and Sue Barlow on 36 points, on a countback from Debbie Sedgeman and Maggie Hosking.



Captain's Charity Day 

Ian Hanley's charity day was in support of prostate cancer. The day saw 102 players take part, including all sections of the Club. Early starter James Andrew managed 40 points and this proved to be the bench mark for the day. As it was, Dave Philips scored 37 points to get close and then both Alex Glasson & Tom Ruhrmund managed 39 points to get closer still. 

However, the juniors were again the players to make the most of the occasion and Jordan Musitano, playing off 5 managing 40 points as did Casey Olds with Casey winning the day on count back and taking the Jack Stephens Charity Cup. Prize winners had to be in attendance to receive their prize.

The weather stayed fair and with the St Austell Brewery again supporting the event with their vintage van on the 12th tee, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day. With a raffle drawn after the presentation, the day itself raised in excess of £1,000 for the chosen charity.

Fantastic result for Finn Rule in the County Boys Championships 

Finn Rule from West Cornwall Golf Club came within a whisker of claiming top honours at the County Boys Championship at Newquay Golf Club at the weekend. With rounds of 73 nett 66 followed by 78 nett 71 he finished in a very creditable 5th place (gross) & 2nd place (nett) in the under 18's championships, which considering his age and the competition he faced was a great result. 

Further recognition of his good scores came when he narrowly missed out on the under 16's title on count back of the last 9-holes of the 36 hole competition.
