Captains Charity Cheque Donation
Past Captain Neil Fletcher and his immediate Past Captain John DeSeta were delighted to present Community Fundraiser Sarah Newton from Cornwall Hospice Care a cheque for £4490.72 for St Julia's Hospice.
This money has been raised from the combination of John DeSeta's Captains Charity fund and half of the money raised in Neil's Captaincy year.

A big thanks and well done for all the effort by everyone involved in the raising of these much needed funds.
The Royal British Legion Charity Event Saturday 5th April 2014
On behalf of John Simmons, who did an amazing job organizing this event, a big thank you must go to all the competitors and helpers who made this day such a success. Keith Kemp, our Course Manager has been absolutely blown away by the support he has received in raising money for his nominated charity, The British Legion. To date Keith has raised the best part of £6000 with £1800 being raised from this event alone. Its a fantastic achievement and well done, and thank you to everyone who has helped in any way.
The London Marathon is this Sunday and I'm sure you will join me in wishing Keith all the best for the day. You can follow his progress on the tracker runner on www.virginmoneylondonmarathon.com. Keith's Runner number is 46560. If you would like to donate, then you can do so by clicking here.

The next time you miss a makeable putt, give yourself a break. Boffins tell us that on an 8ft putt, your blade has only to be one degree open or shut at impact for the ball to miss the hole.
Putter makers realise this, of course, and our shop selection employs the latest aim-enhancing designs and cosmetics. Some like to see down-the-line assistance; others find squaring-up markings more useful. Today's ranges cater for both. If you've never considered which suits your eye, we'd urge you to. Better still, come and talk to us about it. It could save you a lot of lip-out pain.
Also, consider how well you strike the putt. A heel strike closes the blade; a toe strike opens it. The putter's length plays a role here. A good length allows a set-up that promotes a solid, centred strike. The best way to ensure you get this right is to pay us a visit. We'll be delighted to help.
